Our retreat gives us the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at Shepherds Dene, with time for
fellowship and fun as well as well as times of silence and reflection.
Our leader will be The Very Reverend Lee Batson. Next year marks the 150th anniversary of the Mother's
Union. As we gather together in Shepherd's Dene, we will hear stories about some of the significant female
figures that have graced the life of the Church including individuals like Mary Astell and Josephine Butler. By
revisiting their lives, and the way their faith guided them, we will draw inspiration for our journey of faith
whilst also gathering for times of prayer and Eucharist during the time we will spend together.
We will be holding a 150 year anniversary celebration supper, concert and compline on the first evening. This
can be booked separately if you are not attending the retreat.
DETAILS
The residential cost will be £170. The daily cost will be £50, with an additional cost of £35 for the evening meal
on the first day.
