Projects & Campaigns

MU members support and engage with many projects and activities locally and globally, especially where needs are great and funds are low.

Nationally and globally: activities include -

  • Annual ‘No More 1 in 3’ campaigns with the UN 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
  • ‘Rise Up’ Campaign against Domestic Abuse.
  • Various Literacy, Education and Community Building Programmes.
  • AFIA (Away From It All) holidays for needy families

Information about these can be found on the national website: www.mothersunion.org

In Newcastle Diocese we follow the Aims & Objectives of Mothers' Union to support families whose lives have met with adversity.
