Gail is a very long standing member of MU being both a Branch Leader and Secretary who is moving to Tadcaster to be nearer family and to devote even more time to looking after grandchildren! We will all miss her and wish her every happiness in her new home.

Carole Roland became a member of Mothers' Union at the September meeting of Amble MU Branch.

This was followed by a workshop lead by one of their members, Rev. Carollyn MacDonald: "Making the sign of the Cross". There was a talk and discussion about different styles of crosses, prayers relating to crosses and even some crosses to colour in! All members and friends agreed that it was a very successful morning.

Tynemouth Deanery had a lovely afternoon led by Bishop John Packer. We heard about three ladies who wrote hymns that we sing today. Each quite different but leaving us today, grateful that they allowed God to bring this talent out. We sang three hymns, and the singing was lovely. We enjoyed an afternoon tea and a big thank you goes to Angela and her team.
