Girls Are Proud

Changing Lives Changing Lives Service Description
GAP (Girls are Proud) – deliver a project for women who are sex working (including survival sex work / opportunistic sex work and escorting) or those at risk of sexual exploitation.
The support we offer is assertive outreach, working with women in thecommunity, adopting a refer and accompany approach to support women to engage/re-engage with services around health and wellbeing. Support is emotional and practical and we work with women for as long as needed. In addition to 1-2-1 work, we also run weekly drop-ins and deliver DBT to women around managing their emotions.

GAP services run in Sunderland, Durham, South Tyneside, Gateshead and Newcastle.

The GAP Christmas party was held on the 21 December and was supported by Newcastle Mothers' Union with Gifts and a contribution to the Christmas meal.
