About MU Diocesan Festival - ‘Something Wonderful’ - in Benwell

Each year Newcastle Mothers' Union holds a Diocesan Festival. It is an opportunity for Mothers' Union members, supporters and visitors to come together in fellowship and worship. This year the festival will be hosted by Mothers' Union members and the Benwell Team at St James' Church Benwell on Saturday 8th June. It will kick off at 11.30 with a BBQ lunch, stalls and crafts laid on by Mothers' Union members. There will also be the chance to have a tour of the historic graveyard at St James, which includes the grave of Richard Grainger, who was responsible for the redevelopment of Newcastle's city centre in the 19th century. Something Wonderful is a community project based at St James Church Benwell and the art club from this project will have an exhibition for you to view. At 2pm there will be a Eucharist service with Bishop Helen Ann. Please put the date in your diary, come along to St James, join with Mothers' Union and celebrate something wonderful.
