All Saints Gosforth

All Saints Gosforth held their  first meeting of the branch after the death of our Diocesan Treasurer and their loved Branch Leader Dorothy Henderson.  Pam Taylor has kindly offered to step back into the Branch Leader role. The meeting was opened with prayers and in silence we remembered Dorothy and her family. Linda Benneworth gave an interesting talk on her new role as Marketing & PR Co-ordinator. As always gave a very informative talk of all that our Diocese does and our work with  social media. Please make a date for her to come along to talk to your branch of your Deanery.

St John's Worlton MU Summer Outing

St John’s Church Whorlton MU decided to make Heighley Gate the venue for our summer outing. Out of our small number we had the pleasure of having three ladies in their 90's. Two of them had shopping to bring home as did most of the ladies. We enjoyed a good day together and the sun made our journey very pleasurable.

Morpeth Deanery Quiet Afternoon

"Morpeth Deanery held a Quiet Afternoon  kindly hosted by Holy Sepulchre Branch. The service had been produced by Reverend Lorna Beadle and was dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen. This was followed by a Jubilee Afternoon Tea. All branches were represented and provided various foods for the tea. As the Deanery Leader had laryngitis, the Area Dean, Reverend Chris Groocock, gave the loyal toast to her majesty with non alcoholic Elderflower Champagne. We were pleased to welcome our Archdeaconry Vice President, Anne Cairns and Action and Outreach Co-ordinator, Diana MacNaughton to the service. Apologies were received from our President, Margy Tasker-Brown, who is recovering from Covid. Our Diocesan Secretary, Sandra Davison donned Union Jack hat, tie and earrings as was befitting the spirit of the occasion."

St Francis Heaton held a coffee morning in aid of AFIA

Alnwick Deanery held their Festival Service at Howick Church. The branch banners were rededicated.
